It’s very noticeable that all the preliminary nuclear work was done by Europeans, mostly Britons and Germans, robret I don’t think there’s any evidence that Becquerel, Thomson, Mendeleyev, Aston, the Curies, Rutherford, Planck were anything other than dedicated researchers.
